Many people have one foot a little longer or wider than the other. In everyday shoes you barely notice. In football boots, which are worn tight for ball feel, it means one foot fits and the other is either squeezed or sliding around. Here are your options, from cheapest to most complete.

First, measure both feet

Most people only ever measure one foot. Put a sheet of A4 paper against a wall, stand on it with your heel touching the wall, place a book flat against your longest toe, and measure from the wall to the book in millimeters. Do it for each foot, standing, in the evening when your feet are largest. Then measure the widest part of each forefoot.

A gap of a few millimeters is common. When the difference is bigger, or one foot is also much wider, off-the-shelf boots rarely fit both.

Option 1. Fit the bigger foot and fill the smaller one

Buy for your bigger foot, then add a thicker insole or a heel grip on the smaller side. This costs little and works for small differences, but the smaller foot can still move inside the boot on sharp turns.

Option 2. Adjust the size of one boot

If you are resoling a pair anyway, we can adjust the size during the work, usually by about 5 mm longer or shorter, confirmed after we see the boots. Adjusting left and right differently costs about US$22 (KRW 30,000) on top of resoling. Size adjustment is only possible together with resoling. See how resoling works.

Option 3. Custom boots built for each foot

When your feet differ a lot, or you also have wide feet, bunions or a high instep, custom boots are the complete fix. We measure the length, width and instep of each foot separately and build the pair from those measurements by hand. We make sizes from 220 to 310 mm.

  • Synthetic: US$260
  • Calfskin: US$295
  • Kangaroo leather: US$330

If you are in Korea, book a visit and we measure your feet by hand, which is the most accurate. From abroad, you send measurements and photos and we ship by EMS. The full process is in how to order custom football boots from Korea.

Which option is right for you?

  • A few millimeters, length only: Insole or heel grip
  • A noticeable gap, and your boots need a new sole anyway: Size adjustment with resoling
  • A big gap, or width and instep differ too: Custom boots

Not sure which one you need?

Send us your measurements for both feet and a photo of your current boots. We will tell you honestly.
