Futsal Shoes Worn Smooth? How a New Sole Brings Back the Grip

Futsal shoes wear from the bottom up. The nubs go smooth, you start sliding on the court, and the toe scuffs through from dragging the ball. If the upper still feels right, a new sole brings the grip back for much less than a new pair of good leather futsal shoes.
Signs your futsal shoes need a new sole
- The tread under the ball of the foot is worn smooth
- You slip on quick stops and turns
- The sole is peeling away at the toe or the sides
- The cushioning feels flat and your feet ache after games
What we change
We remove the old outsole, replace the worn midsole on most shoes, and attach a new futsal sole. Our futsal soles are natural rubber, which is tough, slow-wearing and grippy on court floors. Most come with a Phylon cushioning layer that is light and comfortable for long sessions.
- Cushioned futsal soles: white, black and clear versions (STUD-06-1, 09, 10, 10-1, 13, 13-1)
- Basic futsal sole without cushioning (STUD-06), low studs that are easy on the joints
- Indoor sole for wooden floors (STUD-07)
When we fit a futsal sole, we add stitching to reinforce the toe cap for free, because that is where futsal shoes wear through first.
Turn old football boots into futsal shoes
Have a pair of boots with an upper you love but studs you no longer use? We can replace the stud plate with a futsal sole. It works well for comfortable leather boots you no longer wear on grass.
